Candance H. – Dental Assistant

Candace is a graduate of West Central Technical College. She’s been employed in dental health care since 2005 and has worked for Dr. Widener for a decade. What makes her job unique is the time she gets to spend meeting new people while helping them have a healthier smile. Some of her most favorite moments in the office have occurred when patients complete their cosmetic work. Candace loves seeing the look on their faces when they finally get to see their new and improved smile. She’s responsible for assisting Dr. Widener during procedures, seating patients, cleaning and sterilizing the instruments and rooms, reviewing charts, assisting with hygiene, answering phones, and more. Candace says she loves being a part of the Widener Family Dentistry team because of the comfortable, laid-back working environment.

She’s been married to her husband Scott for 11 years and they have a beautiful 4-year-old daughter. She likes spending quality time with her family and enjoying her daughter’s childhood before she grows up and has a family of her own.

Lindsey M. – Registered Dental Hygienist

Lindsey has received her education from the University of West Georgia and West Georgia Technical College. She also has postgraduate training in Periodontal Therapy with almost a decade of dentistry experience. At Widener Family Dentistry, Lindsey’s biggest goal is to help improve oral health by educating patients, performing routine cleanings, providing oral cancer screenings, taking x-rays, and charting conditions of decay and disease. She really takes the time to understand her patients and help them achieve and maintain healthy smiles that will last a lifetime. Lindsey says her fellow team members at the office are more like family than coworkers, and she very much enjoys learning from and working alongside Dr. Widender.

She relaxes outside of the office by spending time with her husband Jeremy and their beautiful daughter named Haven. As much as she loves the work that she does, Lindsey says it’s her roles as both wife and mother that are her most fulfilling.
